Common questions

How do I start a new game?

Tap the "New Game" button in the top bar. This will clear the board and start a fresh game.

Can I undo a move?

Yes — tap the undo button in the top bar to reverse your last move.

• Free: 1 free undo per game. Watch a short video ad to earn more.
• Premium: Unlimited undos, no ads.

How do leaderboards work?

The Lines uses Apple Game Center for leaderboards. Sign in to Game Center on your device to submit scores and see how you rank against other players. Each game mode and board size has its own leaderboard.

What is Premium?

Premium is a one-time purchase that unlocks:

• No ads
• Unlimited undo
• Hard mode
• 10×10 and 11×11 board sizes
• 15 additional themes

You can restore your purchase on any device signed in to the same Apple ID.

The app freezes or crashes

Try these steps:

1. Ensure you have the latest version installed.
2. Force-close the app and reopen it.
3. Restart your device.
4. If the problem continues, uninstall and reinstall the app.

Are my high scores saved?

Yes — high scores are saved locally on your device per game mode and board size, and submitted to Game Center if you're signed in. Local scores persist between sessions but will be lost if you uninstall the app.

What are clear animations?

When you complete a line of five or more balls, they are cleared with an animation. You can choose from several animation styles (Classic, The Snap, Particles, Neon Glow) in Settings.

Can I change the theme?

Yes — go to Settings and pick from over 20 visual themes in the Appearance section. 3 themes are available for free; the rest unlock with Premium.
